Dedication. We are dedicate to saving lives. Our Partners, The City of Hope and Be the Match are both organizations that have saved the lives of many and we continuously strive to help.
The City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes, and other life threatening diseases.City of Hope's main hospital is located in Duarte, just northeast of Los Angeles, with community clinics in southern California.
The Ambassadors for Hope club works with one team in particualr at the City of Hope. The Blood Donor Center! The blood donor center in responsable for all of the blood platelets plasma etc. that patients need at the City of Hope.
At hospitals nationwide and at The City of Hope, when blood product is running low it is the donor centers responsibility to purchase blood from blood banks, like the red cross. When the hospital purchases this blood the money is taken out of research budget in order to save lives.
We the Ambassadors for Hope club strive to not only recruit blood products for the Blood Donor Center but funds for blood purchase and equiptment needed at The City of Hope.

What is Be the Match?
Be the Match is part of the National Marrow Donor Program. The Program matches recrutied people up to patients who need bone marrow or stem cell transplants. The Ambassadors for Hope Club currently works with Be the Match at The City of Hope.
Seventy percent of all patients who need a transplant don’t have a matched donor in their family. A patient’s likelihood of finding a matching donor on the Be The Match Registry is estimated to range from 76-97%, depending on race and ethnicity.
Signing up for Be the Match is simple! To enter the registry all you do is fill out the simple 3 page paperwork and swab. You can find this paperwork and a swabbing kit at any AFH drive or event. Also you can find a kit and any other information at join.marrow.org/AFH
